Electrical Conduit

An electrical conduit is a raceway or piping system that is used to route electrical wires in a building. It also serves as a protection for wires and cables from impact, moisture, vapor, and other damages caused by abuse or accident.

The following are some advantages of using electrical conduits:

- It allow easy pulling of cables to inaccessible areas.

- It allow simpler and safer wiring changes.

- It can be manufactured as a waterproof or submersible.

- It can be sealed to protect against fire and explosion hazards.

The Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulate the specifications of electrical conduits.
